Kenya Cook is a 2023 graduate of Hillgrove High School in Powder Springs, GA. She is a passionate and driven student currently pursuing a degree in Elementary Education at Savannah State University. As a transfer student from Morris College, Kenya enters her third year of college with enthusiasm and a clear vision for her future in education.
During summer and winter breaks, Kenya works at Freddy’s, balancing her academic and professional life with determination and grace. On campus, she is actively involved in Road to Independence, a student engagement initiative that brings Tigers together for creative and community-building events on the campus lawn.
Looking ahead, Kenya plans to pursue internships in diverse school environments to gain hands-on classroom experience. Her ultimate goal is to become a dedicated elementary school teacher—one who not only teaches core subjects, but also serves as a mentor and positive influence in her students’ lives.
With a heart for service and a passion for learning, Kenya is also setting her sights on advancing her education by earning both a Master’s and Specialist degree in Education.
“I want to be the kind of teacher who helps shape both the minds and the confidence of the next generation.” — Kenya Cook
