The Rare Pearls take over Mountasia Family Funcenter - Marietta, GA. Everyone had a wonderful outing with the mentees and mentors. It was a great day for fun. One of the attractions that was favored most by the rare Pearls was the Go-Karts. Below are some pictures of the day.
The Rare Pearls Mentoring and Leadership program was able to provide awareness of the organization to the community at this year's September Saturdays event. This was held at the Douglas County Courthouse. The community welcomed us with lots of support for our purpose and made the event a great experience!

Rare Pearls is a 501 C3 mentoring program that provides mentorship, encouragement, empowerment, and education to girls and women from age 10 to maturity. We started in Douglasville, GA under the leadership of Mrs. Judy McClendon-Redmond and have branched out to a chapter in Florida. The rare pearls received the opportunity to receive information on different occupations and careers by having discussions with females in different occupations about what all they do and why they chose their specific pathway.
An event where local authors and artists advertised their works to the community and some of our rare pearls read to an audience of community members. This event was held at the Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville/ Douglas County.
The Fashion Show that was held at the Douglasville Conference Center was a major success. All proceeds received went to the Rare Pearls Mentoring and Leadership Program, Inc. Many members of the community and people from afar came out to make this event wonderful.
The Rare Pearls took a trip to the Center for Civil and Human Rights in Atlanta, Georgia. Everyone had a great time while learning the history of rights in the world and participating in the activities of the International Day of the Girl.
